I am going to write about what it is that made me who I am today. This is my parents. My parents are the two most important people in my life. They have always been there for me and they are the reason that i am hear today writing in my blog. They have always been there to back me up in whatever I did and even if I fell down, they were always there to pick me up.

The day when it finally hit me and I actually realized how much work and effort they actually put into me was the day they dropped me off here at Penn State. I realized that they made so many sacrifices to give me a great life and to give me the oppurtunities that they never recieved. We may not always get along or agree on everything but they are always the first to tell me if I'm right or the first to tell me that I'm wrong. They have shown me what love is all about and how you should go about living your life and that's why I am who I am today.

They showed me that family is more then just a word, it is a bond that can never be broken or taken andvantage of. They have always been there by my side when I needed them and have undoubtably shown me what exactly love is all about. I always knew that family was an important thing in a person's life and that you should always be there for family when they are in need. I eventually realized that it should also never be taken for granted and should always be appreciated because there are many, probably even alot of people who aren't as blessed and as lucky as me to be given this special gift of remarkable parents, who today have also become my best friends.

Coming to Penn State I was a little nervous on how things were going to be. After the first week I would have to say things are coming about just fine. I am meething lots of new people, all who seem to be very nice and friendly. Another good thing is that I came here with many of my friends from high school and we all have stayed close so far too. I like pretty much all my classes, well atleast as much as you can like class I guess I would say. The parties so far have lived up to their names, and it's just been an all around good time. I miss living home a little bit to though. I miss all the perks such as nice home cooked meals, not having to do my own laundry, and always people there when I needed something. On the other hand, I also enjoy not being able to be told what to do, and just having the freedom that every teenager wants sometime or another in their life. All in all I think I made a good choice coming to Penn State and wouldn't change a thing.

3.

We are now in the second week of school and things really seem to be settling in. Last week I still didn't quite seem to be in the school mode but this week I'm beginning to come around. I am starting to get a solid amount of homework and school really seems to be picking up. I hope that everything will be okay and hopefully I'll be able to handle everything as it comes along. The weather was beautiful today and that always seems to brighten up my day. Today i also baught O.A.R. tickets. The lines were out of control. I waited in line for about an hour and a half just to get them. I have seem them 4 times before and each time was really fun. Concerts are one if not my favorite thing to do. I love music, quite frankly I dont think I could live without it. There's nothing better then seeing a band you like live and just enjoying every minute of it and knowing that there are thoousand of people around you who feel the same way. The atmosphere at concerts is always and its usually always a good time. The O.A.R. concert is the same weekend as the Ohio State game so that should be one hell of a weekend. I have to go finish some homework so that's all for now.

4.

So today started off very good. It was a beautiful day out and I was heading to watch Penn State kill Cincinnati. They didn't look good at all in the first half. Joe Pa must have fired them up at the half because they came out in the second half and actually looked like a football team. They were throwing the long ball and starting to stretch the field. All was well since they ended up winning and looked like they had some confidence. I come hom and take a nice long nap to makes things even better. My phones rings to wake me up and this is where things turned around. Last week my grandpop had a stroke but I guess that wasn't good enough. My mom calls to tell me that my uncle had a stroke last night, a major one, and his whole right side is paralized. The worst part about all this is that I can't even go home to see them. I don't know what to do. I am just in the worst mood right now and I felt this was a good way to let some things off my chest. I just ask that you keep them in your prayers because I know I will.

5.

I am not sure what to write about today so I guess I will say whatever comes to mind. First thing, I can't wait for this week to be over and it is only tuesday. Hopefully the rest of the week will fly by because I'm really looking forward to the weekend. I have some friends coming to visit so I'll have to show them what Penn State is all about. I'm also looking forward to another weekend of football since that and college basketball are my two favorite sports to watch. I still have a little while before that starts so it looks like it's all football for now. I'm tryin to write this defintion argument that is due Monday but I am pretty lost so I don't think that is going to get done really at all today. I just got done taking a nice 4 hour nap which was probably the highlight of my day. I was reading the link on human cloning that Kem had put up and I think that is quite ridiculous. I see no need to clone anything, especially humans. I know that they are trying to do it for all the scientific parts but I think its unnecessary. On a good note, I think that all the charity events taking place for the Hurricane Katrina victims is realy awesome. One man who surprised me in his efforts of charity was Primetime himself, Deion Sanders. He challenged all professional athletes to donate atleast $1,000 a piece and also the sports organizations to donate as much as they can. His goal is to reach between 1.5 to 3 million dollars. We should all keep the victims of Hurricane Katrina is our prayers. Also I read about Donnie Darko in TheyCallMeBroudy's blog and it's definitly a great flick.

6.

Debate vs. Dialogue. I have pretty much always thought of these two things to be different. I always figured that a dialogue was just a conversation between two or more people. Just casual nothing to special about it. I have always thought of a debate to be a argument about a certain subject where the opposite sides are trying to get their view and their point across to the other side. They usually are trying to prove that they are right and that the other is wrong. After reading other classmates blogs thought I can see why they say they think they are similar. I guess that a debate can be a type of dialogue because it is a conversation, just one with two opposing sides. So i guess after thinkign long and hard they seem to be the same but one is just a version of the other.

Who wants to do this cluster thing?

7.

Well this just sucks. All day yesterday I had that terriblr feeling you get when you know that you're getting sick. Then sure enough today I woke up and was feeling like shit. I'm so congested, my throat is killing me, I have a throbbing headache, and I just feel physcially week. I forced myself to go to both my classes but I know one thing, trying to make it through and hour and 15 minute class without getting up every 10 minues to go blow your nose is one of the hardest things I've ever done. It seems that everyone I talk to is getting sick as well and I even saw in a few people's blogs them mentioning something about getting sick. I guess there is something going around and it sure as hell sucks. I have all this homework to do which I really don't feel like doing so that's also going to be tough. The only thing I can do is just sleep and drink fluids which I have none of in my room that would be useful for this situation. I hope this goes away soon because I can not stand being sick.

8.

Does anybody else think that campus police are ridiculous? I have never seen so many people get stopped for no reason, just because your walking home and it's late at night should not mean you should be stopped. I saw atleast seven cops on my walk home last night and I would say about four of them had kids sitting on the curb. The one kid who got stopped was doing absolutely nothing wrong and I know this because I was walking behind him. He was not stumbling, falling over, or doing anytrhing out of the ordinary besides walking by himself. Words of advice, never walk home late at night by yourself or your bound to get stopped. Almost everyone I have seen that got stopped was by themselves. Make sure you walk with friends or take the bus. I wonder if what they do is even legal? I think I'm going to look into that.

9.

So I'm in a great mood today. The eagles annialated the 49ers. The only downside to my day so far is that the steelers won. We'll see how good they are one of these weeks when they face a good team. Tomorrow we will be entering our fourth week of school and it almost feels like I've been here four months. Teachers are beginning to mention tests so I'm starting to get a little nervous. The first test is always the hardest I think because you don't know what to expect. Hopefullyv I won't do to bad or else who know's where I'll end up. All I know is that I do not want to leave here. Penn State looked really good this weekend. I know Central Michigan isn't exactly a great team but Penn State seemed to have both their offense and defense in a good rythm. Robinson was throwing the ball well and as always Derrick Williams was making plays. Their defense only gave up three points so that right there should be enough to show you how well they played. Hopefully they continue to get better and better each weeks because they have some ver tough games coming up for the rest of their schdule.

10.

So I just got done writing my definition draft and I've got to say, that was one of the hardest papers I ever had to write. It was so tough to narrow a word down and argue it. It is not really something I have ever done before, altead not to my recollection. The amount of relief I felt after putting a period on that last sentence was out of control. I think one of the toughest things was picking a word that would be able to fulfill the requirements of the paper because many of the words you would not be able to argue that much about but I did it and it's finally over. The next step is the revision and then the final draft which I'm sure will feel very tough as did writing this.

11.

Well today is a beautiful day out if I must say. It is nice and sunny but also just the right temperature. There is a beutiful breeze blowing in the air to make it just right. I'm taking a philosophy class and I find it to be very interesting, but also very confusing at times. I was attempting to write a dialectic on Plato but I decided to take a break and write in my blog. I read something really interesting today in PrimeTime's blog. The thing about hsi friend C.J. is an awesome story. That is a break that not many people get in life and he's really lucky to have recieved that chance. Also, Dave Chapelle is one of the funniest guys alive so you can never go wrong with anything that has to do with him. Well I guess I should get back to Plato so I don't completely forget what to write about.

12.

Thirsty Thursday, you have to love college. Plus this means the week is almost over so Thursday is always a good day. This weekend in parents weekend so that should be kind of cool I guess. Next week is going to be awful though, I have a test almost everyday of the week. I am watching seinfeld right now, probably the funniest show ever on tv. I watch it religiously. Phillies won last night so that was huge. Ryan Howard hit a grand slam in the top of the tenth. He is ridiculously good and should definitly be rookie of the year. I heard the biggest news today, Dave Matthews is coming to the Bryce Jordan Center. They are one of my favorite groups and I have seen them 10 times in concert. I never miss a concert when it comes to my area and you better believe the same is going for this one. I am definitly going to have to miss my criminal justice class to get tickets. That just made the party tonight that much better.

13.

It's Friday, so of course I'm in a good mood. Classes are done and now I have the weekend to look forward to. I just got back from dinner with my parents which was pretty cool cause I haven't seen them in awhile. We had many things to catch up on so dinner was a perfect oppurtunity to do so. I am pumped for the football game tomorrow. Even though it's an away game this is Penn State's first actual challenge and first conference game so we should be able to figure out alot about their team after tomorrow's game. As for now I'm going to take a nap before I go out.

14.

That game today was nuts. Penn State made a great comeback to win against Northwestern. I thought that personal foul on the late hit was going to cause them to lose the game but good thing i was wrong. That was a must win for Penn State too. I think they're going to have tons of trouble next week against Minnesota. Their runningback is second in the nation in yards per game and they are just all-around a sick team. Hopefully Penn State can improve on most of their mistakes such as turning the ball over because if they do that against Minnesota there's no way they are going to win that game.

15.

So I'm in a great mood now that the Eagles won. David Akers put on a heroic performance by coming out and kicking a field goal in the 4th quarter to win the game when he could barely even walk. On the other hand, I'm pretty pissed off because with four minutes left in the fourth quarter they decide to cut away from the game and turn it over to the Steelers game. I hate not being in Philly because that would never happen. I have 2-way one of my friends who is back in Philly and have him give me play by play updates so I didn't miss it. I hope the Steelers get smoked now by the Patriots, that would make me feel a lot better. Well I have homework to do so it's time for me to go.

16.

I just finished revising my Definition Paper and I hope that I did a good job. That was probably one of the toughest papers I had to write. Usually for most papers you are given a topic and you just write about that, there's no way around it. This was so different though, having to find our own word and then make a solid defition for it including boundaries and counter-arguments was very complicated. Before this class I had never heard of a Definition Paper and it was definitly an experience, hopefully a good one. Now I can get started on this "How To", which figures, I'm terrible with directions.

17.

For my "How To" I decided to write about how to do your laundry at Penn State.

1. First gather up your clothes that you want to wash, separating the lights and the darks.

2. Go to the wash room and find an open washer. Open the washer door and insert your clothes.

3. Make sure you put the lights and darks in separate washers. Proceed to close the washer doors.

4. Choose washer on the panel and swipe your id+ card to pay with Lion Cash.

5. Place laundry detergent, bleach, or fabric softer in the spot provided.

(Note: Only use bleach when washing whites.)

6. Choose one of the six options that are on the washer that describes the color of clothes or type of wash you want to do.

7. Wait about 35 minutes until the clothes are done being washed and then collect the clothes from the washer and place them into the dryer.

8. Select the length of time and the type of drying you want and press the start button.

9. Wait until the clothes are dry and take them out of the dryer.

10. Fold them and put them away.

18.

I was reading an artical in the newspaper and I found an enthymeme that I thought fit well with what we are discussing. The journalist writing the column on Penn State football said "Since Penn State is in the Big Ten, the rest of their schedule will be very tough." In this sentence you must assume two different things. The first thing you must assume is that every team in the Big Ten is a solid and tough team. The second thing you must assume is that all Big Ten teams have a tough schedule. The first thing they assume with all Big Ten teams being tough teams is false because Indiana and Illinois are not to great of teams. Illinois isn't that bad but Indiana is really not good at all. The second assumption they made that all Big Ten teams have a tough schedule is not true either because Wisconsin's schdule is not to tough, I'd say the easiest out of all teams in the Big Ten. Those are the thwo key assumptions and counter-points behind that statement.

19.

The analogy I am going to use is "women are like trolly cars, you miss one, there's always another one coming down the line". The similarity in this is that women and trolly cars are alike by the amount of them. In life, if you miss out on a girl there no need to get all bent out of shape about it because as they say, there are many fish in the sea. With trolly cars, there are always many in a row and they always seem endless. The difference between the two are, well womens are humans and trolly cars are not. The audience i think this is directed too are men, or homosexual women. If you tried to change it by saying "men are like trolly cars, you miss one, there's always another coming down the line" it would then be directed toward women and homosexual men and I think it would still keep its meaning. If you tried to change the trolly cars part of it I think you might take away a piece, if not all of the meaning.

20.

How about them Nittany Lions. They looked incredible yesterday in that win against #18 ranked Minnesota. They held the leading rusher in the nation to 48 yards. Their offensive looked incredible as well. They were running the ball consistently, and doing a great job at it. They were also passing the ball well and the offensive line was doing a great job in giving MRob all the protection he needed. Derrick Williams played like a stud, as usual. Penn State is now ranked 16th in the nation and 5-0 going into the Ohio State game. This will be an even bigger test and if they win this game, I think there might just be a riot. Hopefully, they are able to play like they did this week and I definitly think they will be able to beat Ohio State. Either way, it really looks like we have a hell of a team this year.

21.

So I just finished my analogy paper. In the end I don't think it turned out all that bad. I had some trouble at first finding an analogy that was able to produce the required length. I started realizing this was because the two things being compared really didn't have that much to do with eachother besides the main target they were aiming for. I could have disagreed with it but the points of disagreement were pretty dull and obvious. Finally I was able to find one that had many relationships between the two things being compared. On a different topic, I actually saw people camping outside Beaver Stadium already for the football game on Saturday and it is only Tuesday. That is out of control. People had tents and fires lit. I really can't comprehend why anyone would be camped out this early for. I mean I'm all about getting a decent seat but that's a little outrageous, especially since there's not really a bad seat in the house.

22.

I am so pumped for this damn game. Saturday needs to get here because I'm going nuts over here. I went up to Beaver Stadium yesterday because I know people who are camping out. The atmosphere over there is absolutely out of control. Everyone is so pumped for the game, especially since Joe Pa has been there to visit them along with the impressive freshman in Derrick Williams and Justin King. Paternoville is one hell of a place to be and I believe that we can beat Ohio State. Penn State is going to have to play flawless for this to happen. I know the fans will make sure the home feel advantage is definitly there.

23.

So Cold Pizza was here this morning. Woody Paige is the man. He was all fired up about being here and was loving the Penn State fans. He picked Penn State to win the game and the crowd went nuts. He also said Beaver Stadium was the toughest place in the Big Ten to play. I'm not sure if that's true, I think it might be munber 2, but atleast Woody was getting the crowd into it. They brought everyone in Paternoville breakfast which I thought was pretty cool. Either way, everything that has been going on is just making me more pumped for the game than I already was and I didn't think that was possible. I can't wait until tomorrow, to watch Ohio State get hammered by the Nittany Lions.

24.

I was reading about the Cambodian Genocide and I found a really good website. The website gave good background information on Cambodia before the genocide and told what the Cambodian Genocide was. It also talks about Cambodia after the genocide and other issues. Here it is if you want to take a look at it.

25.

All I can say is wow. That football game was absolutely nuts. Might be one of the best games I'll ever see in my years here at Penn State. The defensive first of all played amazing. They held Ohio State to only 10 points, and none of them came in the second half. One of the major keys to that win though, was the fans. That's right, Beaver Stadium was shaking last night. The atmosphere in there was incredible. The fans, mostly the students, were yelling and screaming at the top of their lungs the entire game. Even Kirk Hirbstreet and Lee Corso said after the game that the students were a huge part of that win. Kirk Hirbstreet even went as far as to say the best student section i nthe country. We are now ranked #8 in the AP Poll and I guess it is true, we're back.

26.

A causal argument I found online is one involving war and the death of innocent people. The article seems to be trying to persuade that we should not go to war or be in this war because it causes the deaths of innocent people. Some possible arguments that make this questionable are some of the activities that were taking place before the war such as suicide bombings and all other terroritic acts. They all take innocent lives and it we didn't go to war these acts would continue to happen. So in reality even though the war does take innocent lives, it going on to stop the deaths of innocent people.

27.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this causal argument thing, atleast finding them but maybe not writing them yet. I found an interesting argument online. The article talks about how listening to 45 minutes of relaxing music before sleep causes someone to sleep better. The music is said to produce a lower heart and respiratory rate helping you to sleep better. I thought this was pretty interesting because I usually always listen to music before I go to sleep. A possile argument that could break this argument is that it may not always work.

28.

I got this article from TheRoxySpot.

For my causal argument I found a very interesting article in the October 2005 Cosmopolitan titled "Inside the Mysterious Male Mind." It claims that"the way a man approaches a romantic relationship is largely dictated by the circuitry of his brain." It's ingrained in their minds to think that way. The article goes on to explain that men are driven to have sex with lots of women to "spread their seeds." They also can easily keep sex and relationships separate because they release less of the bonding chemical oxytocin during sex than women do. So the argument is that men sleep around because it's part of their physical make up. Some people might counter this argument that men sleep around because they're players, or because they don't really care about women only their own pleasure. This argument was probably intended for women to learn more about the male mind, so it's audience is mainly female, however guys would most likely be interested in it as well to defend themselves in their crazy sexual antics. So it can work for both, but would most likely be used to persuade women to believe that argument.

Claim: Men are able to sleep around without getting attached because of their chemical make-up.

Causes: Men release less of the bonding chemical oxytocin during sex, and their relationship is largely dictacted by the circuitry of their brain.

Counter-argument: Men might be able to sleep around and not get attatched more because of the pleasure they get out of it and can easily deny their feelings.

29.

I just got back here to State College after a spending fall break back at home. I never realized how much I missed home until I got there. I mean, at times I had missed certain things about home, but never really anything serious. When I was home for break though, I realized how much I missed my family and friends and just the atmosphere of being at home. I almost didn't want to come back but I obviously had to. I'm sure once I get going again I'll be fine. This just gives me the chance to look forward to Thanksgiving even more. I also just found out some of the worst news ever. Yea, Derrick Williams broke his arm and is done for the season. That is really going to hurt Penn State.

30.

Remix of Stigmergy: Stigmergy refers to the way in which insects communicate, but its use may be extentened to other things, such as, the flow of work or information. Guy Theraulaz and Eric Bonabeau said that insect society individuals work as if they were alone while their overall work seems to be coordinated. Pierre-Paul Grasse introduced this theory in 1959 and has since been overlooked. I think that all species even humans can relate to this definition. In a factory, each person seems to be doing their own job when in reality their all working together to produce something.

The same thing goes for writing a paper. When a person is writing a paper, he is probably writing about one thing but must make sure everything is flowing together to form a final product. I see this as a very interesting concept and believe that the idea of stigmergy is correct.

31.

Evaluative Argument: When I thought of an evaluative argument the first thing that came to mind was smoking. Everyone knows that smoking is bad for you. I found an article online that cleary says smoking is bad for you. It says it's bad for you because it causes cancer, heart disease, and chronic lung disease. It kills 120,000 people in the UK every year and it is the single most preventable death in the world. It causes 9 out of 10 cases of lung cancer and can also contribute to many other types of cancer. Counter-arguments found in the article are ones that talk about carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is the poisonous gas in cigarettes but is also released in other things such as cars, faulty boilers, fires, and badly ventilated spaces. Many other things contained in cigarettes are also in lots of other commonly used things. Also not everyone who smokes dies. Some people smoke all their lives and still like to be in their 90's.

32.

What a bad day. Did you ever just wake up in one of them moods for some reason and you don't know why? Nothing seems to be going your way and everything you can think about just depresses you or makes stuff worse. Well that's how I feel today. I don't know why, but I'm in such a down mood and can't get out of it. Everything just seems to suck and I don't know what to do to make this better. I wish I could go to sleep and wake up next year. Who know's what the hell is wrong with me today, but I'm going to take take a nap and try and brush this mood off.

33.

Evaluative Argument: I was reading an article on BBC News and I found something that I thought was very interesting. We all have experienced guilt one time or another in our lives over something. It could be something small or even something good. According to a study done by the University of Hull having feelings of guilt is bad for your health. They did a study and asked people to name their pleasures and rank them according to how much guilt and pleasure they caused. Some of these were sex, eating chocoalte, drinking, smoking etc. They then were to provide samples of salive containing immunoglobulin A. This is associated with a strong immune system. Researchers found that lower levels of this substance were found in those people whose pleasured were accompanied by more feelings of guilt. These were consistent with studies done before on people who had lower levels of guilt were less likely to go to the doctor or report suffering from the cold or flu. A count-argument could be seen when looking at the pleasured people put down. Eating chocolate, smoking, and drinking are all bad for your health aside from the guilt so that could cause a week immune system and a better chance of getting sick anyway.

34.

Definition of Plagiarism: My definition of plagiarism is taking someone else's writing, ideas, or words and presenting it as your own. I think that there are easy ways to avoid this problem such as either summarizing what someone else is saying or to quote what they said and give them credit. I do believe however plagiarism holds a very thin line. For example, I've seen people get in trouble a bunch of times for trying to quote someone or copy what they said and they didn't give them credit the right way and it results in plagiarism. In high school, mostly my senior year we focused alot on plagiarism in my english class. Even in my other classes such as science classes we focused on it somewhat because of the research papers we had to write. I still get nervous though when writing a research paper because I'm always afraid I won't site something write or give credit or come to close when I summarize. Either way thats what I feel plagiarism is.

35.

So I talked to some people about our final paper and what my interests are. I still can't seem to think of what I can write my paper on though even considering what I'm interested in. The two things I could think of that interest me the most are music and sports. I love to party too but I'm not sure how that helps. I guess I'll just keep looking for something to argue about in my interests, but as of right now I'm coming up short.

Music and sports: either is a great area, though you might be able to combine them somehow. I, for example, have some strong feelings about the current Monday Night Football half-time show. Trying being more concrete. What do you like about sports and music (or even partying)? Is there something for you to take a stand on? TheKemBlog

36.

The week just started and I cannot wait for it to be over. I have so much work due this week and it just sucks. Some of my friends are coming up this week too and going to the football game so that should be cool. I'm not sure what movie or song I should pick for this evaluative argument either. I don't know how good I'll be able to review something so I wish I knew how long it had to be before I tried to pick something, but oh well that's not how it goes. Oh yeah and by the by, it snowed today. Since when the hell does it snow before Halloween. I mean don't get me wrong, I loved the snow we got, but that was just crazy. This weekend is supposed to be really nice so thats something to look forward too. That's all for now, peace out cubscout.

37.

I've been slacking here a little. I haven't blogged in a couple days so I'm a little bit behind. Not to much has happend since my last blog. Homecoming was pretty good. I thought the parade and most of the activities were cool. Penn State beat Purdue so thats always a good thing. My dad came up for the game with his buddies so that was fun tailgating with them and all that good stuff. College just seems to be gettin busier and busier every day. It seems like there is more and more stuff to do and less and less time to get it done. I can't wait until Thanksgiving just so I can have a little bit of a break from school work. I guess I'll just have to suck it up and deal with it.

38.

Happy Halloween!! Yes, you guessed it, today is Halloween and one of my favorite days of the year. I love getting dressed up and going out to costume parties. I'm pretty sure I liked it better as a kid. I always remember when I was younger there always used to be so many kids out trick or treating. Nowadays, it seems as if there aren't as many kids out and I don't know why. Another thing that sucks is that week have school the day after Halloween. I went to a Catholic High School so we always had off the day after because it was a Catholic holiday. I guess I'll just have to either go to class a little beat up or just take a class or two off. Either way I'm looking forward to a good time tonight.

Wow it was beautiful out today. I don't understand how the weather can change so much. The other day it was absolutely freezing and then today it was in the 60's. I took advantage ofthe nice weather and went golfing. Golfing has always been a sport that I enjoy playing. It was the first time I golfed since the summer to so that was pretty cool. From what I hear this nice weather is supposed to hang around this whole week so that would be a really good thing. On another subject, big game Saturday. I heard there's actually people camping outside already. I didn't expect that to happen but that's cool. I can't wait for this week to be over.

I hate tests!! I just took an econ test and it was so hard. I studied pretty hard too and I went in to the test thinking that I was going to do fairly well, but I'm not sure it turned out that way. It sucks too because it college if you screw up one test you're like screwed because you only have 2 or 3 of them. In high school you had a bunch of tests so if you screwed up on one it really didn't matter all that much because you had plenty of time to bring your grade back up. I'll just have to wait and see what I got, hopefully nothing to bad.

I think I have come to a conclusion on what I am going to write ny final project on. Most of my interests are movies, sports, and music. I couldn't really find anything that I could write a 10 page paper on out of those. Then I thought about what I want my major to be. I plan on being a criminal justice major so why not do something on that? So i decided to do my paper on capital punishment. This is a highly debated topic that has been back and forth and is an issue most people have a stand on.

It's Friday and that makes me happy. The closer we're getting to the end of the semester the harder its seems to be getting with all the papers and tests and studying. It just seems so stressful and makes the weekend that much more glorious even though with all the stuff I have to do I'll probably have to work on some of it over the weekend which is no fun. Big game tomorrow. Even if Penn State wins they still don't definitly have the Big Ten. If the lose to Michigan State in two weeks Ohio State will most likely get it as long as they win out which I'm sure they will because they're remaining schedule isn't to tough. Either way it should make for an interesting few weeks. Thankgiving keeps getting closer and closer every day. I can't wait to go home and eat all that good food and see everyone. Hopefully I can survive until then but who knows with all this work I have to do, I guess I'll just have to try.

I commented on TheEmilyBlog and BurgherBlogger. On a different note, big win this week for Penn State. They're now ranked #6 in the AP poll and I can't wait to see what they'll be ranked in the BCS poll. They really won convincingly which I thought wasd a surprise. I knew they would win, but I thought it would be a closer game then it was. As long as we beat Michingan State the Big Ten is ours. That's definitly going to be a tough game though, they're a dangerous team and it's away so we'll see what happens.

I am slacking here on my blogs. I was doing good on them and keeping up pretty well, but lately it's just been hard with all the work I have to do. I am starting to feel just a tad bit overwhelmed by all the stuff I have to get done. It seems like there's so much more stuff to do then there was in earlier in the semester but that usually happens. I just can't wait for Thanksgiving to get here. On the other hand, when we come back from that break it's going to be even harder work than now. When we come back I have about 3 major papers do, the finals of course which won't be any fun. I think looking forward to things is the only thing that keeps me going these days. Oh well, I guess being in school is better than being out there working full time for now, atleast that's what everyone says.

Only one more week until Thanksgiving break, I can't wait. This weekend was a good one, there was a lot going on and I made sure I had myself a good time because this week is going to be hell. I have so much stuff to do this week and I'm really going to have to concentrate on school work and make sure I get everything done that I have to. I might even end up having to stay in one night this weekend and do some work, but it will be worth it. I would rather sacrifice this weekend to get my work done then go out this weekend and have to do school work over the break. That will have to be my motivation this week because I usually procrastinate and it will be tough to actually do work in advance instead of the night or two before it's due. I guess I'm just going to have to go with an incentive type of attitude to get it done.

Today was a good day in sports. The Giants and Redskins both lost which means if the Eagles can beat the Cowboys tomorrow night they'll be right back in the the NFC East race for first place. They also have another conference game next week and if they were to win tomorrow night and next week they would be tied for first place. I'm from Philly so I'm a pretty die hard Eagles, Flyers and Sixers fan. The Flyers are playing awesome winning 10 games straight and the sixers just had two big wins in their last two games. Either way, it was a good weekend in Philly sports and hopefully the birds can pull through huge tomorrow night against Dallas.

So Penn State did it, they won the Big Ten. This assured them a BCS bowl game, and its definitly going to be a tough one. They will most likey end up in either the Orange Bowl of the Fiesta Bowl, either one is fine with me. I'm just happy that they were able to get into such a good BCS bowl game such as the two. In the beginning of the season, I'll admit, I didn't think they were going to end up 10-1, and I don't think a ton of other people did either. I'm glad they proved me wrong and now I cannot wait for the bowl game. Depending on what happens they could even end up in the national championship game, that would be crazy.

48.

Wow, it acctually almost happened. Tonight Miami lost their game to Georgia Tech, therefore moving us up in the BCS ranking to #3. Then later tonight #1 USC almost lost to Fresno State. It was one of the craziest and best games I've seen in awhile, and Fresno State only lost by 8. They gave USC quite a scare and almost gave me a heart attack. If USC would have lost that game, it would have put Penn State #2 in the BCS rankings and we could have possibly been playing for a national championship. This place would have gone crazy if that were to happen. I never would of thought my freshman year we would be in that position. Texas and USC both still have games left and they're not all that easy either. We still have a shot to make the national championship game.

It's almost Thanksgiving break and I'm so excited. Only two days until I get to go home. I was only home once this year so far and that was during fall break so it wasn't really that long of a break. This one is going to be awesome though because all my friends will be home from school, plus the awesome dinner on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It's a day to just sit and watch football all day, then have the best dinner of the year, and then fall asleep for a little while after dinner. I can't wait to just go home and sleep in my bed and take a shower where i can actually move my elbows. Hopefully these two days go fast.

50.

I finally finished the my final proposal and now I can't wait until tomorrow. That was the last thing I had to do before I went home and now I am so anxious to leave tomorrow. I'm leaving around 1 so I probably won't get back to Philly until about 5 with traffic and everything. I just want to wish everyone a good Thanksgiving because I know I'm going to enjoy mine.

51.

So I'm back from Thanksgiving break and it basically sucks. When I was home over break I realized how much I actually missed home. It gave me mixed thoughts about being at school and if maybe I should consider going to a satelite campus of Penn State or maybe a school closer to home. Either way I'm sure I'll just end up staying here, but I do miss home. Thanksgiving dinner was awesome as usual. We always go to my aunt's house and watch the football games that are on and just hang out with the family. Then we all sit around the table for dinner and enjoy the feast, then eventually me and my cousins usally pass out after dinner. I just can't wait to go back home in 3 weeks for Christmas.

52.

I realized something today, we get screwed on our Christmas break. Our Christmas break is only three weeks, yet all my other friends have four weeks for break. One of my friends actually doesn't go back until February which is just out of control. Someone said we get done school a week earlier then everyone else but who cares about that, Christmas break is awesome and I would much rather have the break then instead of getting done one week earlier.

53.

So I'm still awake because I can't sleep so I figured I would blog. Christmas break is not far away at all and I can't wait. Going home for 3 weeks is going to be a good time. There's only one think thats not good about that, all the papers and finals we have to take before that. I really do not want to take my finals at all. I have a feeling I'm not going to do well on them, hopefully that doesn't end up the case. It's time for bed now though so I'm out of here, peace.

54.

So classes are over now and I'm pretty happy. I guess I'm a little sad but definitely more happy then sad. Exams are coming up and I'm trying to finish my two papers I have to right. It's ot really much fun but when it's all done it will be worth it. Is it just me or does it seem like it's always snowing randomly up here. Either way one more week and then home for awhile. I guess I should get back to work so peace out.

55.

So I finished my english and philosophy papers so now it's all studying ahead. I have four exams which sucks and even worse my last one is late friday night so I'm not going home until early Saturday morning when pretty much everyone else I talked to is done on Wednesday or some earlier time in the week. Another thing that's not all that great is I don't have any exams that I think are going to be easy. Usually there's always one that you don't have to study real hard for, but I'm pretty sure all mine are going to be hard. Oh well there's nothing I can do about it.

What was the philosophy class? And what was the paper on? Just wondering b/c I'm trained as a philosopher. TheKemBlog

56.

I just took my econ exam and that was a bit rough. I studied pretty good but some of the stuff on the test I must have missed because I don't remember looking over it. I don't think I did too bad. I was looking for a solid A- on it but it's looking more like B- or C. Tomorrow is math which is going to be a bundle of joy so it's time to start studying for that.

57.

Math wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I feel like I did pretty decent, a B sounds about right and thats's fine with me. Philosophy tomorrow is going to be wierd because part of our final is a discussion which I've never had something like that before so I don't know how to study. Also the grading system is high pass/pass/fail so I'm not sure what that means in terms of effecting my grade, but I'll find out I guess.
