Hi everyone. If you haven't guessed from my username my name is Kevin. I'm from New Castle, PA, which is about an hour north of Pittsburgh so yes I am a Steelers fan for any of you that are from the Philly area. Right now I am living in Beaver Hall in the EASI house, which is the Engineering and Applied Science Interest group. I plan to major in aerospace engineering and have already started taking courses to help me apply for early admittance into the major.

In high school I ran cross-country, track, played soccer, and marched in the band. This past year I placed 40th at the PIAA state cross-country meet which was my fourth time competing in the state meet. I have already joined Penn State's cross country club and anyone who is interested in running should join. We meet 4:30 Monday-Friday at the Rec Hall out next to the Lion Shrine near West Halls. Well that's just a little bit of background info on me and I'll probably see some of you around campus outside of class.

9/2/05

The first week of classes has finally come to an end and everything went pretty smoothly. I got around campus with quite a bit of ease and made it to all of my classes on time. Throughout the week I met a lot of new people and made a bunch of new friends. My roommate and I are really getting along and hangout a lot.

Today my best friend from back home came up to visit for the afternoon. We spent the afternoon wondering around campus then finally we went to the pep rally at the stadium. The rally was a lot of fun and they had free food, which is always a good thing.

All in all my first week of college was, to me, a success. Tomorrow’s the big home opener so that’s where I’ll be. Go PSU!

9/6/05

Well the long weekend was pretty much uneventful. I went to the football game on Saturday. That was a lot of fun since I’m usually sitting in a skybox instead of in the crowd. Of course there were a lot of parties this weekend but since I don’t drink I didn’t stay longer than an hour at any given one. My girlfriend went home for the weekend so I didn’t even get to talk to her all that much so my weekend ended up being pretty dull and uneventful.

9/7/05

Today was just like any other Wednesday. I was planning on getting up early to lift before class started but being my lazy self that didn’t happen. Class started at 9 and I was fairly occupied with classes until 12. I came back to the dorm and talked to my girlfriend for awhile then went for a run because I had to skip club xc practice for an aerospace lab I was suppose to have tonight. After running I decided to lift since I didn’t do it this morning. That was a mistake! It was the first time I’ve lifted in over three months and now I am really sore and can barely walk. Well no one showed up for the lab so I came back here and did this. That’s pretty much how my day went.

9/8/05

Today went pretty well except for the incredible pain I’m in from lifting yesterday. Maybe I should have backed off on some of the weight. Oh well. I had an 8 AM class today but I don’t mind it too much cause I really enjoy the class. After that was calculus, which is usually a complete bore to me but I was the only one answering questions today so that made it a little more interesting. Oh yeah, the professor even let us out a half hour early, which was great because I was tired. That was my last class of the day. I ended up sleeping most of the afternoon because I wasn’t feeling well and the rest of the time I was up talking to my girlfriend. I miss her so much. Well it’s almost the end of the second week of class and so far I’ve had no trouble with them. My parents are coming up for the game on Saturday so that’ll be exciting, but I better be getting back to the rest of my homework.

9/11/05- Narrative remix

I was always a stubborn child. When I made a decision I stuck with it. Whenever I didn’t know enough about something, I stubbornly determined that it was no good for me and that it was not going to be any fun. For as long as I can remember my parents always had to force me to participate in activities and events that they thought would be good for me. For example my parents, although they never really forced me, strongly suggested I join the cross-country team when I was entering seventh grade. A year or two later running became my favorite sport. Its weird how I have not really changed. I will keep myself from trying something knew just because I fear things that I that I don't know enough about.

Despite my original accusations, my first season of cross-country was a lot of fun. I started off running just a few miles a day and I had decent speed from all of the soccer training but nevertheless I still had fun with it. I remember how big the first meet was then. Now when ever I go up to the starting line it doesn’t seem like there is that many people there waiting to race. We raced two to three times a week and each race I liked running more and more. The next year I eagerly signed up for cross-country again. I went on to run every year for the next six years and to even help coach the varsity team this past summer.

In high school I ran cross-country as well as played varsity soccer and marched in the band. Cross-country was the sport that I enjoyed the most. I made a great group of friends from running and learned many valuable life lessons as well. With running I learned how to be a leader, how to communicate better with others, and how to work with a team as well as meet individual goals. Running cross-country my senior year was probably my favorite memory from high school. That year I qualified for the state meet for the fourth year in a row, something no one has done in my school since 1981. I was also the second male in our school’s history to qualify to the state me all four years. It made me feel as if I was an important member of my school, and not just some other student. I was filled with a sense of confidence and achievement when I crossed the finish line at the district meet knowing that I accomplished something that hasn’t been done in a long time at my school. I don’t think I have ever felt so significant as I did then.

If my parents had never pushed me to run I might have missed on that great experience during high school career. Even now, though I am older, I still need to be pushed into something new or different. I still have not realized that its good to try something new and that it is okay to fail. I guess overall I just fear change. Much like other people I like to have a safe zone where I am comfortable to be myself. Now that I am in Penn State I am forced to start all over again with new people who don’t even have the slightest clue as to who I am. But life is about change and as discovered by Charles Darwin, only those who adapt and develop with change will survive.

I am now grateful that my parents went through the trouble to get me to run. Without their influence I might have missed out on a great thing. Although I was too stubborn to admit to the fact that my parents were right about me liking cross-country, I now know that I was wrong to put it down before I gave it a try. When I think back to it the most important thing I can take away from this experience is that I need to be more of a risk taker. If I don’t take more risks I might miss out on something good. Now that I am at Penn State I’ve been learning to take more risks and to be more outgoing to meet new people because I’ve learned that life is full of opportunities and I have to start to take advantage of them.

Well I’ve been sick the past few days so I spent most of the days in bed not writing blogs like I should have been. So for today I’ll write two. First off the Diamond Sutra, this excerpt from the Diamond Sutra really does apply to Happy Valley and us Penn Staters. It states, “No Bodhisattva who is a real Bodhisattva cherishes the idea of an ego-entity, a personality, a being, or a separated individuality.” Although we all want to make our own mark on the world we still cherish the idea of all students being one. The chant “We are…Penn State” is a prime example of this. Its not any one individual that makes up Penn State it is all of us working together to form the community that is Penn State.

9/11/05

As for my second blog, the game yesterday was great. Both my roommate’s parents and mine came up for the game yesterday and brought food. I actually think we could eat in our room for the next month and still have some left over. Anyhow, back to the game. I still wasn’t feeling all that well so I left at half time and came back to the room to nap while I watched the rest of the game on TV. Nearly back to my dorm I heard this huge uproar of something, which actually made me stop. I live in Pollock halls, which are about half way across campus, and I would have never believed the uproar came from the stadium. Sure enough when I got to my room and turned on the game Penn State had just scored a touchdown. I think that’s what amazed me the most yesterday. Hearing 100,000 cheering fans on the other side of campus.

9/12/05

Mondays suck! First off I forgot to turn my alarm on. I set it and all but didn’t hit the on switch. So I woke up at 8:30 and rushed to get ready grab some breakfast and go to English. This is how my morning started. Then I had three classes in a row: English, Physics, and Calculus. That was a lot of fun. The afternoon was pretty good. I spent most of the time talking to my girlfriend online. Then I had my freshman seminar at 6:30. The class is a lot of fun but it’s two hours long on a Monday night. Now I still need to do homework and work out then get up for an eight o’clock class tomorrow.

9/13/05

Tonight I went to my first sailplane lab and yes I found the room this time. We are building egg gliders to launch on Thursday. It was a lot of fun. We’re not quite done yet but other than the foam body and wings the entire glider is made of scraps from other groups so we’re calling it the "Franken-glider". Tomorrow we’ll finish the work on the tail and maybe test it and hopefully it will fly. Thursday is going to be a lot of fun when we can finally go out and launch them.

9/14/05

Today I did nothing. I slept in between English and Calculus then I was done for the day. I did some homework early this afternoon and that was about it. Ever since I’ve been laying around the room and sleeping. I do have a lab tonight but that’s it so I’ll probably come back and lounge around and play on the internet some more.

9/15/05

Today was a lot of fun, except not being able to breathe from my allergies. We had our glider contest today for my sailplane class. It went well. Our glider actually got off the launch hook, which we didn’t think it, would. The egg somehow survived multiple crashes with our glider so it got to the point where we did everything possible to break it. Eventually we took the egg out of it’s “cockpit,” if that’s what you would call a hole in the fuselage covered by duct tape, and taped it to the nose. I still think the egg wouldn’t have broken if it hadn’t rammed into the bolt we put in to weigh the front down more. Later today I had my first physics lab. I was suppose to be there from 1:25-3:20 but my group, along with most of the others, got done within a half an hour. Finally I ended my afternoon with sleep and homework.

9/17/05

WE ARE…PENN STATE!!! Yes once again its Saturday and a home football game against Central Michigan. It was a lot of fun. I went tailgating with some friends and one of their brothers who came up for the game. Once we got to the stadium the girls had bags so we had to go through that line, which is really annoying by the way. It turned out to be a pretty good thing because we ended up getting tickets in the Junior/Senior section. It was hilarious, they were all completely drunk. One guy near us even got arrested for sneaking into the game. The game of course was a complete blow out so I left a half time to come back and get started on my definitional argument. This campus is completely desolate when there’s a game going on. It made getting around and getting something to eat much easier. Now that I got some work done I can go out tonight and finish up the rest of my homework tomorrow.

9/22/05

I can’t wait. Tomorrow I’m going home for the first time this year. It’s my girlfriend and my one-year anniversary. I’m so excited to see her. This is the longest we’ve ever been apart since we started dating. Also tomorrow is my high school’s homecoming. My brother is an escort so I get to drive their car. It’s my neighbors Cobra. It’s an amazing car. This weekend is going to be so much fun. I just can’t wait to get out of class tomorrow and head home.

9/25/05

This weekend was wonderful. Friday night when I got home I got to go drive my brother and his date for homecoming in my neighbor’s Cobra. That car has so much power I wasn’t allowed to touch the gas. Then I got to see my girlfriend for the first time in 30 days. It’s the longest we’ve ever been apart and I was so excited to see her. We spent the entire weekend together. Today is our one-year anniversary so we celebrated last night by renting a movie and eating chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream from the creamery. It was so much fun.

9/26/05

Today I had my first midterm. It was in calculus. Luckily he cancelled class today so I was done at 11 and had all day to study. Of course I didn’t but I did get some other homework done which was good. The midterm ended up being incredibly easy. This actually ended up being a very long day because I did pretty much nothing all afternoon. I did practice guitar for quite some time so that was fun.

How to procrastinate successfully:

1. When you have a long break between classes don’t to homework. Relax. Take a nap even.

2. Actually go to class. If you’re going to procrastinate successfully you need to know how to do the work even if you wait until the last minute to do it.

3. Talk to your friends on AIM. Facebook also helps in distracting you from your work.

4. When it finally comes down to the point where you need to do the work don’t panic.

5. Do all of the easy things first. They can be done the fastest.

6. If you get stuck on something skip it and come back to it if you have time.

7. Have your friends help you. Don’t cheat just get help.

8. If all else fails, good. Procrastination gets you nowhere. Do the work ahead of time.

Last night I went to watch a professional touring company put on a production of the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie in Eisenhower Auditorium. The show was amazing. No wonder it won best musical, along with many other Tony’s, a few years ago. I’ve been doing tech and orchestra work on musicals at my high school and local playhouse for the last three years so I’ve been into musicals for quite some time now. My favorite show I’ve done so far I think would have to be Evita. It was also the show I did the most work for. I ran the slide show of pictures of the real Eva Peron, which acted as the backdrop for the show.

The United States is like a melting pot. This country was started and made by immigrants, which is like putting all sorts of ingredients into a melting pot. Immigrants brought over their own customs and cultures and created one new culture, the America culture. However, many immigrants chose to keep their own culture and not adopt the mixed culture of the United States. Many of these immigrants formed sections in large cities. The most well known sections are Little Italy and Chinatown found in cities such as New York and San Francisco.

This week has been going good so far. My girlfriend is coming up with some friends this weekend to visit so I’m really excited. I finally started running decent workouts to get ready for a race I’m running in next weekend. If I can get my time back to where it was last year I should be able to take first place overall so I’m working really hard. The result of that is extreme muscle soreness because I haven’t run this hard in a long time. Oh well, sore muscles go away. Today I ran out past the stadium and saw all the campers outside the gate. There had to be well over 20 tents there. This weekend is going to be so crazy.

10/6/05

So Research West is a pretty fun place. I had to go over there today to learn how to use the flight simulator for my first year seminar. It’s really cool. We have to do all of our flight in helicopters because that’s what the class is on but there are all different types of aircraft to fly. The class is a lot of fun but it’s a lot more work than expected of a first year seminar. I can’t wait for this weekend. The big game against Ohio State, which we all know we’re going to win, and my girlfriend is coming up to visit.

10/7/05

Rain is annoying. Having to get up for class then walk all the way across campus and get all wet and have to stay that way until my classes were over. Later this afternoon some friends and I went downtown trying to get a bus to Best Buy but the busses don’t accept Lioncash and none of us had any ones on them so we wandered around downtown for a few hours. That was a bad idea because I didn’t grab my hoody so I just had a jacket and was soaked by time we got back. All in all it’s been a long day and I just can’t wait for tomorrow to come.

Inflation Increases. This article describes the causes for inflation increasing over the last few years. Consumer prices have been increasing due to an increase in oil prices making transportation expensive. Food was also named as a cause for increases in consumer inflation. This increase could have been caused by the warmer summers and longer growing seasons that the entire country has been experiencing. Retail prices, however, have decreased over the last year due to a decrease in property maintenance expenses.

In 2001 Penn State’s College of Agricultural Science issued a public opinion poll, The Citizens’ Viewpoint. The survey was conducted to achieve an understanding of how Pennsylvanians would like political, business, and marketing decisions to be made. Results of the survey showed the public’s viewpoint on how Pennsylvania is run. Other underlying causes for this survey include what people feel Pennsylvania could do to aid in the September 11th disaster relief.

Thesis: The body’s stress response can be helpful at times. Explanation: Positive stress causes you to meet deadlines, generate new ideas or survive physical danger by producing exhilaration, motivation and energy. Even if you're scared, you may enjoy the thrill of skiing down a mountain in deep powder or the excitement of having a baby. The stress response often helps athletes perform better in competition than in practice.

Counter-argument: Stress can often cause people to become frustrated and lose concentration.

Thesis: ‘’An article from CNN.com states that they believe that the cause of the 1918 flu virus was due to a bird flu.’’

Which article?

Explanation: This was so deadly because it mutated so it could be transferred between humans. They believe that this, like the S.A.R.S virus, was caused by animals first. Bats supposedly caused S.A.R.S where as the 1918 flu was caused by birds.

Counter-argument: none of this has actually been proven to be caused by animals.

The concept of stigmergy was introduced by Pierre-Paul Grasse in the 1950's to describe the indirect communication taking place among individuals in social insect societies. Grasse originally defined Stigmergy after studying how termites reconstruct their nests. He found that the regulation and coordination of the building activity do not depend on the workers themselves but is mainly achieved by the nest: a stimulation triggers a response of a termite worker, transforming the configuration stimulant into another that may trigger in turn another, possibly different, action performed by the same termite or any other worker in the colony. Grasse’s concept of stigmergy showed great potential but has often been overlooked by students because it left open the issue of how the stimuli are organized in time and space into perfect synchronization. Despite the vagueness of Grasse's formulation, stigmergy is a profound concept, the consequences of which are yet to be explored. Not only is stigmergy of potential importance for our understanding of how animals socially interact, it may also turn out to be a crucial concept in other fields, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, or the social, political and economic sciences, to which its relevance is intuitively obvious. The aims of this special issue of Artificial Life on stigmergy are: - to provide readers from a variety of fields with an overview of what is known (and what is not) about stigmergy in such various contexts as instinctive animal behavior, distributed problem-solving, and robotics, - to invite researchers in these fields to present their new work, - and to give the opportunity to researchers from other scientific communities to present their work in the light of stigmergy.

Last weekend was a lot of fun. I went home for the weekend. Friday night we went out to celebrate my parents’ 25th wedding anniversary. After that I went to see Corpse Bride with my girlfriend. It was a really good movie. I like Tim Burton. Saturday afternoon I ran in a local 5k to benefit MS. It was the first race I’ve run since track over four months ago. I ended up 3rd in my age group and 8th overall, which isn’t too bad for not racing in so long. When I came back I was suppose to bring a new TV because we had been borrowing one from our friend in supplemental. My roommate decided to bring his TV back as well so yesterday we bought a splitter and a few more cables and now we have two working TV’s. This is great!

WiMAX. This article evaluates the advantages of new wireless broadband technology, WiMAX. Sometimes called “Wi-Fi on steroids,” is a combination of Wi-Fi and cellular signals. WiMAX generates the same speeds as Wi-Fi but covers a much larger radius allowing for under developed regions to obtain high-speed internet. The article also evaluates the time range of when WiMAX will be readily available. Advantages of WiMAX include larger signal radius at cheaper costs to consumers.

Plagiarism often means taking the writings of another to be one’s own. However, plagiarism does not just deal with writing. It consists of ideas or expressions of ideas in literature as well as music, art, designs, etc. In writing plagiarism means stealing a sentence or passage word for word and can easily be avoided by paraphrasing. Music wise plagiarism could mean stealing lyrics or rhythms. A prime example of plagiarism in music is the suite against Vanilla Ice for stealing the bass riff from Queen’s “Under Pressure” and using it in his hit song “Ice Ice Baby.” Although Vanilla Ice claims they are different by adding one extra note, the riffs are exactly the same and it is still considered plagiarism.

10/24/05

This weekend was amazing, except for the rain and cold of course. Friday I went to Pittsburgh to visit my girlfriend at Pitt. I’ve never actually spent much time in Pittsburgh before. Usually when I go down with my parents we’d just go for the afternoon to go shopping or something but this weekend we actually walked around the campus and through Duquesne. It was kind of awkward though because it was parents weekend and she lives in an all girls dorm so going up to the guest bathroom was always weird because we would run into parents. I got to meet all her new friends and we went to some of the really good restaurants on Forbes Ave. And to just make the weekend even better Penn State and the Steelers won!

10/25/05

So tonight we finally finished building one of the ailerons in my sailplane class. We were there for four hours. Finally we have something that looks like a wing. Hopefully this will give us some motivation to do work because we actually have something done that looks like part of an aircraft.

10/26/05

Don’t you just love the random weather of State College? It snowed all day yesterday and now it’s nice out and the snow is completely melted. I like the snow. It’s great to run in. In thick snow it feels like you run twice as far as you actually do. It’s always so peaceful running in the snow especially when trail running in the woods away from any civilization. Running has always been a way to help me relax and clear my mind. Although since I pulled my Achilles a few weeks ago I haven’t been able to run and it’s getting quite frustrating.

11/2/05

Wow I haven’t blogged in a few days. I guess I’ve been pretty busy. Anyhow, on with the proposal. I believe that the United States government should have never stopped the space shuttle program. Space exploration is a crucial part of the planet’s future. The natural resources of the Earth are bound to run out eventually. Although the shuttle program does have its problems, they can be improved to better research while in space and hope to find alternative resources that can be used here on Earth.

11/3/05

After doing some further research I found that the shuttle program doesn’t actually do any space exploration. It basically just sends people up to orbit the Earth and run different experiments or to work on the International Space Station (ISS). I still stick by my proposal that we need a shuttle program but it needs some major alterations which is basically what I’m going to propose.

This weekend was amazing! Other then spending Friday night and Saturday morning studying for my Physics 211 exam today it was good. Saturday afternoon my girlfriend, her roommate, and her roommate’s boyfriend picked me up and we drove to Niagara Falls for the weekend. When we finally got there, after getting lost because mapquest directions are horrible, we went to the Rainforest Café for dinner. I had some of the best ribs I’ve ever eaten. After dinner we went and saw the falls all lit up. It was the first time I’ve seen them at night. Sunday we got up and went to the Ripley’s museum, which was a lot of fun. After that we went to see the falls one last time then headed home. It had to be one of the greatest impromptu weekends ever!

11/8/05

So…anyone have the Physics 211 exam last night. That was one of the hardest tests ever. You know it’s bad when the first try through the test and you leave six blank. So far everyone I’ve talked to felt the same way about the test. It was nothing like the practice tests, which were fairly easy. Yesterday had to be one of the longest days ever. I had three classes before the exam and then my two-hour seminar after. I was gone from around 4:20 in the afternoon and didn’t get back to my dorm until 8:45 last night. Luckily I don’t have much work to do this week except I have another calc exam next Monday.

11/10/05

I’m so glad this week is almost over. I’m still anxious to get my physics score though. Tomorrow afternoon I’m leaving for Pitt to visit my girlfriend for her birthday. Tomorrow night we’re going out to Station Square for dinner and dessert. It’s going to be so much fun. I do have to study for my calc exam at some point this weekend but it’s calc so I shouldn’t have a problem.

11/14/05

This weekend was awesome. I went to visit my girlfriend at Pitt for her birthday. Friday night we went to Station Square for dinner and dessert. We ate at two amazing restaurants. Saturday night we stayed in and watched movies. We rented the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It has to be one of the most disturbing and hilarious movies I’ve ever seen. I’m glad this day is over. Besides being my longest day of classes all week, I had a calc midterm tonight. Luckily it was really easy because I didn’t study all that much.

11/15/05

Yes for no sailplane lab tonight. The bad news is we’ll probably have a four-hour lab tomorrow. Of course I haven’t gotten anything done during my extra time off. I do intend to do some actual work. I’ve been trying to get things cleaned up before my girlfriend comes this weekend. This place is so messy. I also tried to fix my computer but it looks like I have a bad fan motor and it’s going to need to be sent back to Dell to get fixed. That’s going to suck. I even got some guitar practicing in. I guess I have accomplished some things just not any schoolwork. Oh well, I’ll get to it. It’s still early.

11/17/05

It’s so cold out! I hate walking to class on the other side of campus when it’s this cold, especially at 8 o’clock in the morning. I can’t wait. My girlfriend is coming to visit tomorrow! On Saturday we’re going to see the Thespians’ production of “Into the Woods.” It should be pretty good. I’ve only seen about the first 20 minutes of it so I’m excited to go. I hope it warms up a little tomorrow since I have to walk all the way over to the bus terminal and back. I doubt it will. Maybe I’ll grab the Blue Loop to get over there.

11/21/05

This weekend was a lot of fun. My girlfriend came to visit. Saturday we went to see “Into the Woods” put on by the Thespians. It was really good. After the show we rented a couple movies and ordered pizza. It had to be one of the most interesting pizzas I’ve ever eaten. We ordered a cheese pizza with mozzarella sticks, jalapeno poppers, and onion rings thinking they’d be side orders. No, they were toppings. It turned out to be a really good pizza though. Jalapeno poppers make a good topping for pizza.

11/24/05

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

11/28/05

Well it’s back to school after a well needed break. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. My break was good. I got to see my girlfriend everyday, which is always a good thing. The one bad thing about this break was I didn’t get my new cell phone. Our plan isn’t up until Wednesday so I couldn’t upgrade my phone. Hopefully my mom will go get it later this week and send it up. These next few weeks are going to be rough. I didn’t get any work done over break and now I have tons of stuff due this week. I have a lot of studying to do to get ready for finals. I can’t believe we really only have two weeks until the end of our first semester!

11/29/05

These next two weeks are going to be so long. Not only do I have to finish my final paper for English but I have two more physics assignments due, two reports to write for my sailplane class, and do an entire project along with write up for my seminar. It looks like my weekend is going to be completely shot with work. I also really need to start studying for my physics final since I have no idea what’s going on in that class.

11/30/05

I still have tons of work to do. The good news is my paper is coming along quite nicely. I really should start studying for finals. If I don’t I have a feeling the physics final is going to kick my ass. I’ve been getting a lot accomplished. Today I did over half of my physics homework and wrote another page and a half to my paper. I even found some time to practice my guitar and take a nap.

It’s December! And it’s snowing!!! Too bad I still have tons of work to do. I have most of my paper done so that’s going to get put off until later next week. I really need to start my final project for my seminar and study for the physics final. Tomorrow I need to do my two write ups for my sailplane class. I’ll probably be spending all Saturday afternoon in the aerospace lounge working on them.

So it’s the last week of our first semester. Can you believe it!? Finals week is nearing and I’ve been studying. I still have no idea what’s going on in physics. There are just so many things I have to do this week. Although, I did make some time tonight to play in the snow with my neighbor. Some of it consisted of doing a project for my seminar. It really sucks that I’m stuck here until next Friday and only have two finals. Calc on Monday and Physics on Friday. At least the physics test is early so I can leave before noon. Well I better get back to studying. It’s going to be a long week.

Slowly but surely I’m getting my work done. Today I finished the write up for my final project in my seminar. I also studied a decent amount of physics. I still have so much it do though. We didn’t do our presentation for sailplane today so we’ll go on Thursday. I can’t believe it’s the end of our first semester. It doesn’t seem like it’s been that long already. I’ll be glad when next week is over though. I just want to get through and survive my physics final.

Yes for snow. I just got back from an all out snow war with a bunch of Navy ROTC people. It was insane. The snow isn’t too great for packing so one of the guys and myself went and got bottles of water to wet the snow so it would pack better. We made so many snowballs and just started nailing people. Tomorrow is going to be a pain to walk to class. At least all of my classes are close to each other. I don’t think they’d be able to cancel classes when it’s the last day. Oh well.

Classes are finally over!!! I know we’re done with blogs but I figured I’d write one final one. Classes are over and there’s a foot of snow outside. Could this day get any better? Probably not cause now I have to study for finals. Well, it was a good class. A lot of fun. Have a great break and congrats Kem.

Thanks, Kevin. Enjoy the respite from college! TheKemBlog
