At first impressions, people like to peg me as “shy” or “quiet”, but once they really get to know me they find out how wrong that judgment is. Sure I’m not the most talkative person you’ll ever meet, but I definitely have a lot more to say than you may think.

Coming from a very creative family, I’ve developed a strong love for art and music. I’ve been drawing all my life and this past year learned to use the potter’s wheel, which I am obsessed with now. Here at Penn State I plan to sign up for the ceramic studio as soon as possible. As for music, I’ve played the piano for a while. Although I have had lessons, I tend to mostly just figure songs out on my own. My sister, Shay, plays the guitar (acoustic and electric) and I’m not lying when I say that she is amazing at it. I like all kinds of music but I listen mostly to alternative and classic rock. Bands such as Radiohead, Coldplay, and The Beatles rule my CD player.

Shay is my only sister (only sibling at that) and being that she’s only 15 months younger than me means that we’re actually more like best friends. Yes, we certainly do have our fights, and annoy each other often, but we can make each other laugh like you wouldn’t believe. As for my mom and dad, I cannot complain one bit because they’re pretty much the best parents in the world. They met each other when they were in tenth grade and knew each other for nine years before they got married. All in all, my whole family is so amazing and supportive. Yes, there have been those tough times we had to work though, but (and I don’t mean to sound cheesy) it’s the difficult times that really strengthen my family as a whole.

Even though I’m very family-oriented, I’m also extremely independent. Someday I hope to travel to Europe; maybe Greece or Italy. As for a future career, I really don’t know what I may end up doing. I’d like to make a decent amount of money, but I’m more concerned about my happiness and wellbeing than my income. My dream job would be to become a master potter- but the uncertainty of succeeding at an artistic-type career sort of scares me. Who knows what will happen in the future though. All I know is that I want to have a good time getting there.

I really liked the imagery and descriptiveness (is that a word?) in TheWarmthNarrative.

And wow- the car crash experience in the CameronCrazyNarrative was really freaky- i've never been in a car crash, but they happen all the time on this road close to my house.
