My name is Justin Wyne and I am a freshman engineering student at Penn State University. I have two older brothers that both came to PSU. I come from a small town is Southwestern PA known as Charleroi. Charleroi is an hour South of Pittsburgh.
Throughout elementary, middle, and high school, I have always tried to strive for the best grades I could get. Over the years, I met many teachers that were interested in my success and who helped me achieve my goals. I was always ready for a challenge and I would not quit until my work was done. Although many of my peers succumbed to the dreaded senioritis, I kept working until the very end and remained serious about my classes. I was involved in numerous extracurricular activities including National Honor Society, Track, all the bands, Tri-M Music Honors Society, and more. Outside of school, I took drum lessons for nine years and I was part of the Boy Scouts of America for many years. I cannot stress the importance of extracurricular activities enough; they are a great way to meet new people and have fun doing the things you enjoy. I graduated from high school in 2005 with high honors and the rank of fifth in my class.
