My name is Andy Cline, despite the fact that very few people ever call me by my real name. I am from Erie PA. Most people who live there claim that they hate it and it’s boring. However, once we all leave we begin to realize how good our lives really were. I like many different types of music ranging from classic rock, modern rock, hip-hip, rap, or any other “feel good” music. Some of my favorite groups include Dave Matthews Band, OAR, Green Day, 311, Third Eye Blind, Snoop Dogg, Outcast, Kanye West, and Ludacris. During high school I participated in a lot of different sports. I ran the 400meter dash in track for my high school and I’m not going to lie, it’s not a fun race. I also played in various soccer leagues and basketball teams that were not school related. I also loved going to the beach. Yes, we do have beaches in Erie, and yes, it is 90 degrees or hotter every day. Our summer weather is just a little different from the 3 feet of lake-effect snow that we can acquire within a 24 hour time period in the winter months.

I graduated from an all guy school called Cathedral Prep. Yeah, it was tough not seeing any girls below the age of fifty for eight hours a day, but it was honestly the best experience of my life. Over the four years our class of about 150 has grown so close and I would live it all over again if I had the chance. I have gained a lot of great friends that have shaped the person I am today. I am a pretty laid back guy but I also know how to have a good time, when the time is right. A lot of people see me as a quiet kid who just keeps to himself but once they get to know me they discover a whole new side to me. I know that these next four years at Penn State will help me to attain many great friends along with an education that will lead to a successful career.

For the past two years I have spent a great majority of my time working as a lifeguard at Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park. This is the largest indoor water park in the eastern half of our country. This job taught me a lot about responsibility because I realized that thousands of people entrusted their lives to me. This was my first real job and I believe it was a life changing experience. I learned a lot about myself during these two years. I realized that I am very trustworthy because I rarely missed a day of work. I also became aware of my leadership skills. Since I had been there so long, I became a head lifeguard and was expected to teach the other guards how to do their job right. I also learned a lot about how a business is set up and run. I became very interested in how my managers and supervisors dealt with certain situations and how they proposed ideas to help improve the business. I frequently caught myself keeping an eye on them to witness all of their bad decisions along with the successful ones. This is the reason why I have chosen to study at the Smeal College of Business at Penn State. Someday, I want to be the man who is responsible for the success of a company.

I was never really a big fan of Penn State until I got accepted into this school. During my junior year of high school I honestly had no clue on where I wanted to go to college. I began visiting random colleges big and small, near and far, and everything in between. Penn State happened to be one of the colleges that I visited and I really liked it. Unfortunately, I was borderline in terms of getting accepted into the University. I applied to PSU and a few other schools, still with no clue on where I wanted to go. A few months passed and I was surprised to receive my acceptance letter to Smeal. I think the reason I chose Penn State is because of its excellent business program and also because this University is known worldwide as opposed to a smaller college. I wanted to be a part of something big, and I wanted to have pride in telling people what college that I attended. I believe that Penn State will help me to become successful in the future along with developing four more years of memories, friendships, and knowledge that I will embrace throughout my life.

Hey BurgherBlogger, Im from Cathedral Prep...remember when we beat you in the state playoffs in basketball last year. It's cool though, at least your a steelers fan.

I can also relate to RedLionBlog in terms of pulling pranks and getting myself in a little bit of trouble.

I found that TheLyleNarrative had a very similar format to mine with an opening paragraph, past life events, and an ending paragraph on PSU.
